SEMINAR: STATE-OF-THE-ART OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE

COURSE DESCRIPTION: This two-day seminar, sponsored for the past 12 years by Consultants in Nuclear Medicine, is dual purpose: it provides practicing Nuclear Medicine Technologists the opportunity for an update of the State-of-the-Art of Nuclear Medicine while simultaneously earning 16 hours of VOICE Credit. Lectures will be presented by experts in their respective fields accompanied by extensive audiovisual materials; a Question and Answer session follows each lecture

CONTINUING EDUCATION CREDIT: For Nuclear Medicine and Radiology Technologists: Approved by the VOICE Program of the Society of Nuclear Medicine for 16 CE hours of VOICE Credit, recognized by the US Nuclear Regulatory Commission and all State Departments of Nuclear Safety.

DATES/LOCATION: February 28-29, 2009 at the Marriott Suites Hotel in Downers Grove, IL. Lectures are scheduled from 8 AM - 5 PM each day. Breakfast will be served every morning at 7:30 AM; you are on your own for lunch, scheduled for 12 Noon-1 PM. 

TIME: Lectures are scheduled from 8 AM - 5 PM each day. Breakfast will be served every morning at 7:30 AM; you’re on your own for lunch, scheduled for 12 Noon. There will be refreshment breaks at 10 AM and 2 PM each day.

TUITION FEE: $200 for the 2-day course. Fee must accompany the attached application form or must be paid by on-line registration (see registration methods below). Included in tuition fee are breakfast, all coffee breaks, handouts, and course materials. There is a $25 fee for cancellation requests, which must be in writing. No refunds are available after course begins. Enrollment is limited- please register early.

HOTEL: A block of rooms has been reserved at the beautiful Marriott Suites Hotel, 1500 Opus Place, Downers Grove, IL 60515.  The 2008/2009 room rate: $117 per night, single or double, for a small suite (regular rate: $259/night).   Rooms are blocked until 2 weeks before each session, and then released for public sale. AIR TRAVEL: It is most convenient to fly into either O'Hare International Airport or Midway Airport, each of which is about 20 miles from the hotel. In either case, when you have your luggage, simply call American Taxi at 847/255-9614 and give the dispatcher your location. Their driver will pick you up within 5-10 minutes. Flat rate fare to the hotel is $35-40 from O’Hare International Airport or Midway Airport and may be shared with other riders going to the same hotel. There is a charge of $2 for each additional passenger.

You may also send e-mail to nucmedconsultants@comcast.net to register. Please include your name, mailing address, phone #, and (for the course completion certificate) either your NMTCB#, VOICE #, or NRC/State License #. We will save a space for you in the course and give you two weeks to make payment. After the two week period, your reservation will be held, but no longer guaranteed. If the course completely fills up, as it previously has, your place will be given to another registrant. Regardless of registration method, you will receive a letter acknowledging receipt of your payment.
